Radial nerve, Supinator exit

Patient working in a horse stable with pain at the left lateral epicondyle for a couple of months. Reduced strength i her hand, pain at elevation, torsion and other movements. Electroneurography shows normal findings. Electromyography shows only slightly increased amount of polyphasic motorunitpotentials with no clear significance other then possibly some radial nerve or local muscle impact. The conclusion is that there is no basis for entrapment. Suggestion is made to do echoneurography, which you can see below.

Short to long axis in plane rotation. Nerve entrapment upon exit from Supinator tunnel, 5-7 mm long nerve swelling, motor branch. Left arm. Patient symptom free after 3-6 months of physiotherapy and stretching excercises.

Right arm. Normal control.
