Echoneurography: ultrasound evaluation of peripheral nerves.
Sometimes echoneurography provides clues and answers to questions that can’t be answered by any other currently available utilized method in Sweden, even MR. Therefore patients can be left without treatment for significant amount of time. If a muscle lacks nerve supply or it is diminished then pathological conditions can escalate and lead to a lack of satisfactory treatment results. This is especially crucial when a surgeon is deciding the necessity of an operational procedure.
